By downloading, installing, or using the Splytt mobile application ("App") or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including visitors, registered users, and others who access the Service. By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age (or 16 in jurisdictions that require it) and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Splytt is an expense-splitting and financial tracking platform that enables individuals, friend groups, flatmates, and families to track shared expenses, calculate balances, and manage settlements. The Service is provided free of charge for personal use with up to 5 members per group.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

You may not create an account on behalf of someone else without their explicit consent. Each user may maintain only one active account.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
You retain ownership of all data and content you submit to the Service ("User Content"), including expense records, group data, and profile information. By using the Service, you grant Splytt a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display your User Content solely to provide the Service to you and your group members.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of sharing it. We do not claim ownership of your data and will not sell it to third parties.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information.
The free tier of the Service is supported by in-app advertising provided by Google AdMob. By using the free tier, you agree to the display of advertisements. AdMob may use device identifiers and usage data for ad personalisation in accordance with Google's privacy policy. You can opt out of personalised ads through your device settings.
The Service, including all software, design, trademarks, logos, and content created by Splytt, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the App on your personal device for your personal, non-commercial use.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service or software without our prior written permission.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
Splytt is a tool for tracking shared expenses. It does not provide financial, legal, or accounting advice. Any financial decisions you make based on information in the app are your own responsibility.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Splytt and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or ₹0 if you are on the free tier).
You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Account Actions → Delete Account, or by contacting us at support@splyt.in. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law. We will provide reasonable notice where possible.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
If you are located in the European Union, you may also have rights under applicable EU consumer protection laws that cannot be waived by contract.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by sending an in-app notification or updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
